Marlins Show No Mercy in 10-0 Thrashing of Blasters Monday, October 11th , 2049 The Miami Beach Marlins posted a 10-0 shutout over the Joplin Blasters today on the strength of a strong performance by Jimmy Serna. The Marlins pitcher held the Blasters to 4 hits while walking 0 and fanning 9 in the route-going win. "It feels good to be wearing a Miami Beach Marlins uniform today," the right-hander said following the game. For the season Serna has made 9 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 4-1 won-lost mark and a 2.54 ERA. In pitching 67.1 innings, he has totaled 70 strikeouts and 8 walks. |
