League Suspends Kaufmann and Ford for Brawl Monday, October 11th , 2049 If there wasn't a history between Bob Kaufmann of Colorado and Shane Ford of Amarillo, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 6 and 12 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Kaufmann said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Kaufmann is hitting .211 this year with 21 home runs and 57 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .285, 33 walks and scored 44 times. So far this year Ford has compiled a 9-5 record with a 3.85 ERA. |
