Miami Beach Takes Quarter-Finals Saturday, October 30th , 2049 The Miami Beach Marlins bandwagon is filling up fast, as the team has moved one step closer to winning a World Series championship. Miami Beach downed the Calgary Flames 14-1 tonight at Flames Stadium, to take the Quarter-Finals 4-2. "It seems much more real now and we're really starting to realize we've got a great shot at this thing," said Melvin Nava, who was named series MVP. "When we play our best we're as good as anybody in the Pioneer Baseball League." For the series, Nava had 13 hits for .481, with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Semi-Finals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Quarter-Finals finishes. |
