Round Rock Skunks Charlotte, 5-0 Monday, May 23rd , 2050 Dan Dill shut out the Charlotte Knights 5-0 on a 3-hit masterpiece for the Round Rock Express at BB&T Stadium today. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Round Rock skipper George Bush III said afterward. Dill registered 7 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in pitching a gem. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Charlotte manager Javon Rigsby after the defeat. To date this year Dill has compiled a 6-2 mark with a 2.34 ERA in 9 starts. |
