More Injury Problems for Las Vegas's Mike Phillips Wednesday, May 25th , 2050 The Las Vegas 51s received some bad news when the team's medical staff announced that Mike Phillips would miss even more time than had previously been expected. Phillips, who is currently out with a fractured rib, was evaluated by doctors yesterday and tests showed that the injury was not healing as quickly as they expected. Instead, the 27-year-old catcher will have to spend another 6-7 weeks in treatment. Mike Phillips is expected to undergo surgery in Las Vegas(Nevada) tomorrow. Phillips is currently hitting at a .270 pace with no home runs, 5 RBIs and has scored 11 times. |
