Syracuse 3B Will Miss 4 Games, Suspended by League Friday, June 3rd , 2050 The baseball commissioner has suspended Chiefs third baseman Darren McCarty Jr. 4 games for arguing too vehemently on a called third strike in the Las Vegas game at Cashman Field. Apparently he said the magic words and was ejected by the home plate umpire. He went into the dugout, then returned to the field, resumed his argument with the umpire and had to be restrained by his first base coach. McCarty Jr. said he shouldn't have gone back on the field. "I was pretty mad. I was all over the place." McCarty Jr. currently has a .276 batting average with 47 hits, 3 homers, 14 RBIs, 22 runs scored and a .363 OBP. |
