Eliseenko Brilliant, Blanks Chihuahuas Thursday, July 7th , 2050 In a splendid 4-0 shutout performance, Nikita Eliseenko of the Iowa Cubs subdued the El Paso Chihuahuas on a 3-hitter. "He kept hitting his spots and putting up zeroes, so I kept sending him out there," Iowa manager Steven Duggar said in postgame comments. Eliseenko registered 8 strikeouts and 1 walk. For the season Eliseenko is 5-and-10 with no saves and a 4.06 ERA. He has given up 117 hits in 113 innings with 75 strikeouts. |
