Herrera Rips Tacoma for 5 Hits Saturday, July 30th , 2050 It was a parade of hits for David Herrera of the Nashville Sounds at Herschel Greer Stadium today. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Herrera finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Sounds to a 14-9 victory. "Herrera was really good and we were really bad," groaned Rainiers manager Joe Kowalchuk. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." David Herrera singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Ruben Raya in the 2nd, hit a two-run triple in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th and hit an RBI double in the 7th. So far in 2050 Herrera is batting .282 with 10 home runs, 45 RBIs and 48 runs scored. He has 98 hits in 348 at-bats and a .383 OBP. |
