Garvin Hurls Red Sox to 7-0 Shutout Win Monday, August 8th , 2050 It wasn't easy but Andy Garvin made it look that way. Garvin silenced the Salt Lake Bees, 7-0, in a Pawtucket Red Sox triumph at McCoy Stadium today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Garvin said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 1 walk and 3 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." In pitching stats this season Garvin has rung up 11 wins and 6 losses in 20 games. He has an ERA of 2.45 and has fanned 87 batters in 124.2 innings. |
