Season Over for Spangenberg Sunday, August 14th , 2050 Jamie Spangenberg had hoped for the best, but expected the worst. Today, he learned from the Louisville medical staff that he would miss the rest of the season. The Louisville right fielder suffered a ruptured medial collateral ligament in an earlier ballgame. He admitted to being discouraged, but said he plans to come back strong next year. Spangenberg is swinging at a .265 pace on the year with 8 home runs, 35 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He has played in 92 games. |
