Scranton WB Shut Out, 8-0, By Express, Asante Sunday, September 18th , 2050 Jaden Asante of the Round Rock Express was masterful today, pitching a 5-hit shutout, 8-0, against the Scranton WB RailRiders. By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Round Rock manager George Bush III. "It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too." Asante had 7 strikeouts and no walks in the outing. So far in 30 appearances this season, Asante has recorded 18 wins and sustained 7 losses. He has pitched 208.2 innings, yielded 188 hits, fanned 166 and has a 3.02 ERA. |
