Greene Gives Fresno Goose Eggs Sunday, September 18th , 2050 Jason Greene subdued the Fresno Grizzlies, 11-0, pitching a 5-hit gem for the Columbus Clippers at Chukchansi Park. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Columbus skipper Khalil Fobbs said afterward. Greene registered 6 strikeouts and issued no walks in his superb performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Fresno manager Darryl Kennedy after the defeat. Thus far this season Greene has posted a 2-4 record, started 9 games, struck out 42 batters in 60.2 innings and compiled a 4.60 ERA. |
