Clippers Heading to Conference Championship Tuesday, October 11th , 2050 The Columbus Clippers "proved we can handle pressure" by beating the Division Championship and eliminating the Round Rock Express, according to series MVP John Creel. "This is the big stage, we're off to the Conference Championship and looking towards the World Series," he said. "There's a lot of pressure at this time of year and it's only going to get more intense from here. But I think we can handle it just fine." Columbus won the final game 2-1, to wrap up the series 4-2. Creel led his team to the series win by putting up a .333 average, with a .364 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Conference Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Division Championship finishes. |
