Clippers Heading to World Series Sunday, October 23rd , 2050 Columbus left fielder John Harring couldn't hide his reaction when asked about being named MVP of the Conference Championship. "It's a nice honor," he said, failing to suppress a wide smile. The trophy was presented to Harring moments after his club eliminated the Buffalo Bisons to advance to the World Series. Columbus won the final game by a score of 6-1 at Coca-Cola Field and took the series 4-2. "We won the series and that's the main thing," Harring said. "They were a tough team and we didn't want to take anything for granted." For the series, Harring hit .421 with a .450 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 4 runs. "He was tough to stop and that's a big reason they're there and we're here," said a dejected Buffalo manager Andrew Yerzy. The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Conference Championship finishes. |
