Columbus Clippers Win World Series Monday, October 31st , 2050 The Columbus Clippers ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Memphis Redbirds 1-0 to win the World Series. Columbus won the series 4-1, capturing the title for the 2nd time. "We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Columbus manager Khalil Fobbs. "It's a great feeling." The champs finished the regular season 90-63 and claimed first place in the American League Central Division.
