Wilharm Named Top Reliever for AL Friday, November 11th , 2050 At the age of 25, Cody Wilharm says he still has a lot to learn about life in International League. But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Durham Bulls reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2050 American League Reliever of the Year. "I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Charleston, West Virginia native said. For the season, Wilharm had 39 saves in 53 relief appearances, which totaled 61.1. He fanned 66 betters, while walking 23 and put up a record of 2-1 to go with his 1.03 ERA. He received 19 first place votes out of a possible 30. Mario Amore of the Buffalo Bisons finished second in voting with 10 first place votes, while Walter Whiteman of the Omaha Storm Chasers finished third with 1 first place vote.
