Super Swinger -- Vallez Slams 5 Hits Tuesday, May 3rd , 2050 It was a parade of hits for Antonio Vallez of the Harrisburg Senators at FNB Field today. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Vallez finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 9 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Senators to a 8-7 victory. "Vallez was really good and we were really bad," groaned Giants manager Chris Haugen. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Antonio Vallez grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Allen Vesey in the 6th, singled in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th, struck out in the 12th, grounded out in the 14th, singled in the 16th and singled in the 19th. Vallez is hitting at a .339 mark this season. His stats show 1 home run, 8 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He has played 19 games for the Senators. |
