AL Best Hitter Award to Portland's Tony Nunez Wednesday, June 1st , 2050 Portland Sea Dogs fans believe they've got a talented young star in Tony Nunez. He did nothing to dissuade that notion in May, as he hit .384 with 6 home runs, 16 RBIs and 16 runs scored. The end result was the first baseman being named the American League Batter of the Month. This season Nunez is batting .361 with 57 hits, 9 home runs, 26 RBIs, 20 walks, .443 OBP and has scored 29 runs. He has played in 45 games. |
