Isaiah Cherry Says Farewell to Baseball Sunday, June 26th , 2050 Isaiah Cherry said he's made enough money in professional baseball, so it's time to move on. "I did pretty well for myself, my bank account isn't hurting, maybe I'll become a manager or a team owner or something so I can make even more," he said, announcing this season would be his last. "I'm 39 years old, so I've still got some time to make something of the rest of my life." Over his 613-game career Cherry has compiled a .227 batting average and collected 467 hits, 82 home runs and 255 RBIs. |
