Star of the Week Selected in AL Monday, July 11th , 2050 Ron Johansen of the Birmingham Barons was locked in all week as he bullied the pitchers he faced. Johansen put up some great numbers and hauled in the American League Player of the Week trophy. He hit .435 with 1 home run and 5 RBIs. The 28-year-old first baseman also scored 3 runs and for the week went 10-for-23. For the season Johansen has hit .262 with 6 home runs and 32 RBIs. He has played in 65 games and scored 29 times. |
