"He was too darn good for us today," grumbled Altoona manager Nate Hudson after the 5-0 loss to the Mississippi Braves. McPeak finished with 1 strikeout and 1 walk in a strong outing. In the postgame press conference, Mississippi manager Mike Novello said McPeak "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off."
