League Suspends Sasada and Bucci for Fisticuffs
Monday, July 25th , 2050
After an intense confrontation, both the Braves Tamaichi Sasada and the Drillers Adam Bucci were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Mississippi-Tulsa game. Tamaichi Sasada will miss 4 games, while Adam Bucci was suspended for 8 games.
"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Tamaichi Sasada commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."
This year Sasada has hit at a .254 pace and produced 64 RBIs, 16 home runs and scored 35 runs.
Thus far this season Bucci has compiled a 0-0 record, made 8 relief appearances with no saves, hurling 16 innings and striking out 17. He has held the opposition to a .308 batting average with a 4.50 ERA.
