RockHounds Muniz Named AL's #1 Player Monday, August 29th , 2050 Today the American League announced the Player of the Week Award. This week's honoree is Midland first baseman Alejandro Muniz. When he steps into the batter's box, it's usually bad news for pitchers. For the week he batted .455 (10-for-22) with 3 home runs and 4 RBIs.
