Alley and Vasquez Suspended 4 Games Friday, September 2nd , 2050 The league commissioner's office had responded quickly to yesterday's major incident at Hammons Field involving the Cardinals Joe Alley and the Drillers Alex Vasquez. Both players have been given 4-game suspensions for violation of the league code of conduct. The suspensions will be effective immediately. Posting a .236 batting average to date, Alley has 9 home runs and 28 RBIs. Vasquez has compiled an ERA of 3.60 so far this season, winning 6 games with 6 losses and no saves.
