5-Hit Barrage by Martin Sunday, September 4th , 2050 Nick Martin really sizzled at the plate in today's 22-1 win over Smokies. The Colorado (EL) left fielder blistered Tennessee for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Martin was too tough to get out today," the Smokies skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Nick Martin grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
