20 Games in a Row for Carrillo Saturday, September 10th , 2050 The hot bat of Cardinals second baseman Juan Carrillo continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 3-for-4 in today's 5-4 loss to the Suns at Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Juan Carrillo hit a solo-shot off Jorge Lara in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, walked in the 8th and grounded out in the 10th. In his stats this season, Carrillo has posted a batting average of .338 with 66 hits in 195 at-bats, 6 home runs and 34 RBIs. He has also scored 29 runs, walked 22 times and compiled a .407 OBP. |
