RubberDucks Move on to Conference Championship Monday, October 10th , 2050 The Akron RubberDucks triumphed 3-1 over the Montgomery Biscuits at Canal Park in the Division Championship to capture it 4-2. The victory advanced the RubberDucks to the Conference Championship. For his superb play in the series, RubberDucks catcher Anibal Casteles garnered the series MVP trophy, hitting .364, scoring 3 runs and batting in 5. "Only thing better than getting MVP for winning in the playoffs would be winning MVP for winning in the World Series," Casteles said later. "I'll get to work on that." The Conference Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Division Championship finishes. |
