Cardinals Advance to World Series Wednesday, October 19th , 2050 Fans at Hammons Field saw the Conference Championship come to a close today, as the Springfield Cardinals defeated the Mobile BayBears by a score of 9-3, and advanced to the World Series. Springfield won the series 4-1 and will now continue their march toward the World Series. "It feels good to be moving on, I can't deny it," said left fielder Fortunato Fteira, who was named series MVP. "Not everyone thought we'd make it this far." The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Conference Championship finishes. |
