Saturday, January 1st , 2050
Ryan Watkins held the Potomac Nationals to 3 hits and fashioned a fine 2-0 shutout at Harry Grove Stadium today.
Speaking after the game, Frederick Keys manager Tyler Beede said "Watkins had everything going for him today. He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement. He was masterful."
Watkins rung up 8 strikeouts and surrendered 3 walks in the game.
"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Potomac manager Blaine Jarvis told reporters.
So far this year Watkins has compiled a 4-2 record with a 2.11 ERA.
