Lakeland Won't Make Playoffs Tuesday, January 11th , 2050 They put up a valiant effort, but the Lakeland Flying Tigers didn't have what it takes to make the California Winter League playoffs in 2049. The club was officially eliminated from postseason qualification today. "Sucks," said Flying Tigers reliever Malcolm Holz. Before this season, the Flying Tigers last missed the playoffs in 2045. In the 34 years they have been a California Winter League franchise, they have missed the playoffs 30 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Flying Tigers have made the playoffs 3 times. |
