Four-bagger Feast: Abdul-Muta'al Slugs 3 for Clearwater
Sunday, December 4th , 2050
Clearwater Threshers bombardier Avicenna Abdul-Muta'al set his sights on the stands and blasted three balls over the fence as his club took a 10-4 win over the Salem Red Sox today.
"I guess you could say I was a good guesser today, especially on the last one," Abdul-Muta'al told writers in the postgame press room. "I was ahead in the count, so I gambled that I'd get a certain pitch, and got all of it."
For the game, the Clearwater left fielder had 4 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 4, and scored 4 runs.
Avicenna Abdul-Muta'al doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jin Guan in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Brad Victor in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Ryan Perkins in the 8th.
