Miracle Whitehead Suspended 2 Games Tuesday, December 6th , 2050 Byron Whitehead has been penalized by the commissioner's office for his verbal and physical assault of an umpire. The second baseman unleashed his fury in protesting a third-strike call in yesterday's Fort Myers-Palm Beach game at Hammond Stadium. And now he has to pay for it -- Whitehead has been suspended for 2 games for his unacceptable actions. The commissioner said in his statement that the league would have zero tolerance for any contact with an umpire, unintentional or otherwise. This year Whitehead has no home runs and a .167 batting average. |
