Mathis Hurls Blaze to 5-0 Shutout Win Friday, December 16th , 2050 Andy Mathis handcuffed the Lancaster JetHawks at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark today, coming away with a 4-hit, complete game shutout. "I had everything working for me out there," the Bakersfield Blaze left-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted." With his stuff working, Mathis had little trouble with the JetHawks and led the Blaze to victory, 5-0. He recorded 12 strikeouts and 3 walks in an impressive performance. |
