Ogg Slams 3 Deep for Richmond
Wednesday, December 29th , 2049
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Sam Ogg did today at The Diamond, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 15-1.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Ogg said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The Richmond Flying Squirrels first baseman blistered the Palm Beach Cardinals for 3 hits, batted in 7 runs and scored 3 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Palm Beach manager Clancy Wilkins said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Sam Ogg flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Armando Orozco in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Daniel Boulter in the 6th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Dave Ashby in the 7th.
Ogg's current batting average stands at .365 and he has chalked up 11 home runs and 24 RBIs.
