Strickland Sharp, Blanks Stone Crabs, 11-0 Thursday, December 30th , 2049 It wasn't easy but Jim Strickland made it look that way. Strickland silenced the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 11-0, in a Brevard County Manatees triumph at Space Coast Stadium today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Strickland said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up no walks and 2 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." To date, his season stats show Strickland has no saves with a 4-1 mark and 2.88 ERA. |
