League Suspends Schultz and Castro for Fisticuffs Friday, June 3rd , 2050 Danny Schultz of the Delmarva Shorebirds and Juan Castro of the Cedar Rapids Kernels received notification from the league commissioner's office that they had been suspended for 3 and 6 games respectively for their part in the on-field ruckus in a recent game at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. Schultz is batting .223 this year with no home runs, 9 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He has 42 hits in 188 at-bats. This season Castro has accumulated no saves, registered a 5.91 ERA and struck out 26 in 21.1 innings. He also has a 0-0 record in 16 relief appearances. |
