Paolozzi Raps Beloit for 5 Hits
Wednesday, June 15th , 2050
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Dominique Paolozzi is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Beloit Snappers at Fluor Field at the West End today. The monster effort from the 24-year-old designated hitter helped the Greenville Drive take the win, 8-1.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Snappers manager Michael Turay. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Dominique Paolozzi hit a solo-shot off Juan Lucero in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
During the current season Paolozzi is batting at a .257 clip with 7 home runs and 29 RBIs. He has played in 66 games and scored 30 times.
