Early Season End for McGuire Thursday, July 28th , 2050 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Lakewood's Kyle McGuire to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 07/24/2050 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," McGuire said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." McGuire has been out of action since he suffered a torn rotator cuff. He has made 25 relief appearances this year with 1 saves. McGuire has achieved a 1-2 record while holding opposing hitters to a .231 batting average and posting a 4.40 ERA. He has tossed 28.2 innings, given up 25 base hits, fanned 23 and issued 11 walks. |
