Jobe Bashes 5 Base Hits Friday, August 19th , 2050 The Peoria Chiefs swept past the South Bend Cubs 12-0 today at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium, paced by second baseman Tim Jobe. The 25-year-old Jobe got 5 hits in 6 at-bats, helping to down the Cubs. Tim Jobe singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Jobe is batting .249 with 6 home runs and 29 RBIs this season. |
