River Bandits Get Zilch in 1-0 Loss to Drive, LaMotte Thursday, September 15th , 2050 John LaMotte kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Greenville Drive were all smiles after winning 1-0 against the Quad Cities River Bandits at Modern Woodmen Park today. The right-handed LaMotte gave up no runs in his start, permitted 2 hits and had 9 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," LaMotte said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." For the season LaMotte has logged 15 wins and 8 losses and struck out 156 batters in 185.1 innings while compiling a 2.19 ERA. |
