League Suspends Maserang and Hernandez for Brawl Monday, September 19th , 2050 After an intense confrontation, both the BlueClaws Mike Maserang and the Power Juan Hernandez were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Lakewood-West Virginia game. Mike Maserang will miss 4 games, while Juan Hernandez was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Mike Maserang commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." So far this year Maserang is hitting .316 with 1 home run. His record this season is 0-13 in 22 starts and Hernandez has a 7.93 ERA. |
