Clinton Playoff Hopes Officially Zero Sunday, September 25th , 2050 Even the most die-hard fans of the Clinton LumberKings will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said LumberKings starting pitcher Jose Lomas. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." This is the club's 19th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2031. In total, the LumberKings have missed the playoffs 24 times in their 35-year history. |
