Cougars Win Wildcard Series Saturday, October 8th , 2050 The Kane County Cougars and Great Lakes Loons hooked up in a classic Wildcard Series that went right down to the wire. In the end, it's Kane County heading off to the Division Championship, after a 6-1 win at Dow Diamond tonight earned the 4-3 series win. Outside Dow Diamond, whether they were supporters of Kane County or Great Lakes, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget. David Wright Jr. played the hero for the Cougars in the series, as his MVP performance included a .355 batting average, with a .429 on-base percentage. He also had 3 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 7 runs. The Division Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes. |
