Lake County Wins Division Championship Thursday, October 13th , 2050 The Lake County Captains outclassed the Lansing Lugnuts in all facets of the game throughout the AL Division Championship. The end result was a Lake County series sweep to advance to the Conference Championship, capped off by a 5-3 win in the final game. "We're a bit surprised it's over in a sweep, to be honest with you," said catcher Eric Sandell, who hit .312 in the series. Sandell's standout effort garnered him MVP honors. He also put up a .353 on-base percentage and had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 3 runs.
