Braves Advance to World Series Friday, October 28th , 2050 The Atlanta (MID) Braves said they felt the Conference Championship with the Kane County Cougars would go the distance. But it didn't end up being that difficult, as Atlanta (MID) advanced to the World Series with a 4-2 score, to clinch the series 4-2 at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark. "Whether it goes to the final game or not, we faced a good team and got the job done. It's a big momentum boost for us," said Josh McCormick, who was named series MVP. "We're all feeling good about our chances to win the World Series." For the series, McCormick hit .500 with a .583 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 8 runs. The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Conference Championship finishes. |
