AL Reliever of the Year Winner Named Thursday, November 17th , 2050 The Hickory Crawdads got more than they expected out of Francisco Rivas in 2050. At the age of 36, there were questions about whether or not Rivas could still compete at a high level, but those questions were answered emphatically as he has won the American League Reliever of the Year. On the season, the Mexico native recorded 8 saves in 35 relief appearances and threw 90.2 innings. He recorded 119 strikeouts and 30 walks, while posting an opponent's batting average of .159. He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Tim Tucker of the Greenville Drive finished second in voting, while Jose Lomas of the Clinton LumberKings finished third.
