Jerome's Treatment Not Going Well, Suffers Setback Thursday, January 13th , 2050 All is not well with Guy Jerome in his recovery from a strained shoulder. The 22-year-old Dodgers second baseman has already reached some significant steps in his rehabilitation, but his manager said that the team will continue to be cautious with Jerome and take his progression one day at a time, especially after the setback yesterday. "Yesterday he was feeling good but he didn't do a lot on the field," he said. "Today he was supposed to be on the field doing light stuff and then gradually start working right back up. I think he overdid it." A post-workout examination revealed that Jerome had re-injured himself and would now miss at least 2 weeks because of it. Jerome is hitting .385 for the season with no home runs, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored. He has 5 hits in 13 at-bats and played in 5 games. |
