Friday, March 4th , 2050
He may have less experience than most of his Winter League Baseball peers, but that didn't slow Justin O'Neal down at all in 2049.
At the age of 23, the New York (WIN) second baseman has been named the winner of the Division B Most Valuable Player Award.
He had a .283 batting average and a .374 on-base percentage this year. In 37 games he piled up 36 hits, 7 doubles, 3 triples, 7 home runs, 18 RBIs and 23 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 30. Chris Skaff of the Seattle (WIN) Mariners finished second in voting with 8 first place votes, while Josh McCormick of the Atlanta (WIN) Braves finished third with 3 first place votes.
