Seaborn Sensational, 21 Ks Saturday, December 24th , 2050 Seattle (WIN) Mariners starter Joe Seaborn brought his best stuff to Peoria Sports Complex today against the Chicago (WIN) Cubs, striking out 21 batters in his club's 11-0 victory. In a strong performance, the 20-year-old Seaborn gave up 4 hits in his 8 innings of work and issued 2 walks. "I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my cutter was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me." For the season Seaborn has compiled a 3-1 record with a 1.99 ERA. |
