5-Hit Blitz by Davidson
Saturday, December 25th , 2049
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-7 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Zion Davidson, it came around today.
The 28-year-old right fielder scattered hits all over Hammond Stadium to pace the Cleveland (WIN) Indians to a 22-1 victory over the Minnesota (WIN) Twins.
Minnesota (WIN) skipper Tom Bartlett told reporters in the press room that "Davidson deserves a hat-tip."
"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Davidson hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."
Zion Davidson flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Glen Dutton in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
This season Davidson is hitting .197 with 2 home runs.
